Patrick Covington is asking do you think certain Rap music is destroying our kids? Making them reach for things that are not there?

Yes, I do believe that there are certain types of rap music that are destroying the minds of kids. I wouldn't say that it is making them reach for something invisble because there is a way to make these lyrics come to reality in the hands of the wrong person. That is why it is up to us to talk to not only children openly about what is right and wrong in rap , but to also inform our friends on how to keep a strong mind and know that it is only meant to be enjoyed through vivid desription and not re-LIVED. There is a boundary

IF YOU LET YOUR KIDS LISTEN TO THOSE KIND OF LYRICS AT A YOUNGER AGE....IT WILL DESTROY THEM BUT THEY HAVE TO MAKE A LIVING FOR THEY FAMILY JUST LIKE WE ALL DO WITH THE DIFFERENT JOB TITLES WE HAVE ...NO DIFFERENCE. AS I GOT OLDER I LISTEN TO SOUL, GOSPEL, R&B I WASNT RAISE ON RAP....THATS WHY I DONT LISTEN TO IT....SO IT WILL DESTROY IF YOU DO IT...

rap music isnt destroying our kids. the fact that parents aren't teaching their kids how to interpret and handle the content of rap music is the biggest problem. we are raising children with weak minds, which makes it easier for them to be influenced by what they listen to. rap music isnt always meant to be taken seriously, sumtimes its just for entertainment (just like movies, etc.)
